Jet Blue is surfer friendly. And Delta is not.

We all know that Delta sucks and that the surfing community is up in arms at Delta Airlines. There are petitions going around so that you can send your displeasure to Delta. (On a side note, now that we’re on a “Delta airliners hates surfers beat down”, Delta left my bags in Florida once, delivered them to Atlanta, and I didn’t get them back for a week. Shame.)

But you might not know that:

- JetBlue charges $50 for a surfboard (though won’t bring em to the Dominican Republic. There’s no waves there anyway.)

- Qantas and New Zealand don’t charge – at all – for surboards, and

- According to an article in the LA Times today, British Airways – despite letters of protest from 14,000 surfers – doesn’t allow you to bring on a board, at ALL!

While you might not be surfing in Oz all that often, and Jet Blue is domestic, next time you go visit mom, if given the choice between Jet Blue and some other domestic airline – CHOOSE JET BLUE.

What is the jetblue policy of one surfboard per bag. Our bags are for 2 boards. Does anyone know if this is allowed on Jetblue.
