We learn from venerable editor of Surfer Magazine, Chris Mauro, that Joel Patterson (Patterson, not Parkinson…) is taking over the helm of the good ship Surfer. Mauro will be having another child in the not too distant future, and figured he’d better get all the wave action he can, now, before he’s on diaper duty. Patterson has been the editor of a number of magz. We wish him the very best of luck! Here’s to less ads and more insightful commentary from our favorite surfing magazine.
