“Take a Physics Class Brah!“ This is probably a good time to find balance in the Surfer Stereotype given the new movie release of “Surfer Dude”. Corporate Hollywood filmmakers are still focused on the same old surfer schtick while true characters and heroes go on working, barely noticed. Take U.C. San Diego PHD Physics graduate and avid surfer, A. Garret Lisi, who spends his spare time unlocking the secrets of the Universe. Actually compared to Einstein, Garret may have gone beyond Albert’s work with “An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything“, a theory seen by some as the “Holy Grail” of Physics. Sounds like a BlockBuster to me.
One thing Lisi and Einstein definitely do have in common is their Theoretical Physics beginnings – both started “outside the mainstream scientific establishment”. While Einstein started formulating theories at a regular day job, Lisi’s inspirations come from chasing surf n’ snow around the globe working odd jobs to stay afloat.
