It’s time for the biiiiiig surf…We’re talking build-high here. The World Cup Tow-In Surfing Championship kicked off on Tuesday in Punta de Lobos, Chile, running from October 29th through November 2nd. Punta de Lobos, known as a big wave haven, is playing host to the tow-in surfing world’s best, with three time World Champion, Garrett McNamara flying in from Hawaii to take on the top big wave tow-in surfers from around the globe. With 16 foot waves beginning to hit on Tuesday, the contest should be off to a strong start. I’ll be sure to update with results, as they become available. In the meantime, take a peek at this preview of the contest.
