Beautiful shapes and other surfboard porn at Surf Designs by Daniel. Daniel has shaped some pretty amazing watercraft, including the 11 foot (!) pintail sweet log pictured here. Wow. Make sure to check out the repair job on a 70s balsa Channin surfboard. Double whammy. It’s like taking a Volvo and turning it back into the Porsche it once was. This particular board was feature in a surfing magazine ad many moons ago. Pictured below is a hand shaped, Paipo board, with a shot of Daniel. Nicely done.

Good on you Danny!!
Thanks for your post DailyStoke.
It’s great when the surf community at large can see the hand-craftsmen who are still in the business for the soul and the stoke of it after decades of surfing. Danny is definately one of those.
I have seen the full view of the balsa restoration board. it is a classic, soulful 70′s sculpture in and of itself. I also saw photo’s from Danny before the restoration was done. Danny really pulled a rabbit out of the hat on this one.
Great job.
LOVE the paipo. I have seen other close-ups of the woodburn art on it, Very cool.
Truth be known however about this particular photo……..Danny is getting busy enough these days behind some long-due recognition, that he sometimes forgets to put on pants. I guess the paipo board comes in handy for more than just getting shacked.
Aloha Danny
