The DC Shoes website has a new feature up where Bruce Irons talks about some of the ads he’s done with them over the last 10 years or so. He touches on the ad (shown) they did in Indonesia where Bruce cut himself, and DC ran a picture of him caring to the wound. A bunch of whiny parents wrote letters in complaining it was too gnarly for their kids to see, and eventually DC had to run an apology ad where he comments “Give me a break, some people are dumb”. So true, because – as you can see – the ad was cool, and the medical situation was explained in print.
