A different angle with RVCA

This is a cool little screen-shot from a new RVCA clip of Tanner Praire, Nolan Hall, and “Punker Pat” Towersey, doing this doubles type filming at Church’s. You’re going to wanna watch the first wave, and see how it ends. Think US Airways, and that Hudson River landing. Except this dude isn’t all cool like the now-hero pilot, Chelsey Sullenberger. Instead he pretty much panics and hits the eject button.

RVCA has this really cool vibe going with longboarding. If you check out their blog you can see how some of the guys fully dress the part, and look like they’re straight out of American Graffiti. I like that, it’s cool. I enjoy seeing younger guys my age riding longboards. Is it easier to look like you’re ripping on a longboard compared to a shortboard? Probably, I would say most definitely, but that doesn’t really mean sh*t. You can’t learn how to have a rad surfing style. You either got it, or you don’t. If you watch Bruce Irons ride a wave on a shortboard, and then see Alex Knost on the next one, who’s to say which one looked better? It’s all personal taste, and good style is something no crowd can deny.

Here’s the proof:

Some throw-back Bruce Irons:

RVCA team rider Alex Knost, just as unique:
