Yes… you read that right… he’s launching an underwear line. The ASP Europe website broke the news in its regular “The Surfer’s Blog” feature, this time focusing on the 29 year old Quiksilver team rider, prior to the first event of the 2009 season, the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast. Along with discussing training, scoring perfect empty French barrels, and his winter travels to Spain, Portugal and the Canaries, Miky decided to spill the beans on his upcoming (possibly co-branded with Quiksilver) underwear line. Said Miky, “a bunch of us sat down quite a bit at the Quiksilver office in the Basque Country near Biarritz to work on the development of a new brand of underwear called “Moskova”. The name, which is Finnish or Turkish for the Russian city of Moscow (Moskva), leaves us all wondering, what the hell Miky and crew are up to. Nothing quite like sitting around with the lads discussing undies.
The big question all of us surfers around the world have is, what gimmick might this underwear include to convince us that it’s the must have accessory of the summer? Remember Reef’s huge success with moving the Mick Fanning branded sandals that included a bottle opener on the bottom of the sole? Given the “Moskova” branding, I’m betting on an anti-skidmark, fur lining and a pocket to carry a small bottle of ersatz vodka. Though, if it ends up falling under the Quiksilver umbrella, we’re more likely to see a wax comb and a key pocket. Dare to dream.

you should leave this kind of biz to Pull-in… they are the first company who believed in this type of products… Quik should stay away from this… it will be more positive that way… just my 2 cents…
