I can’t make this stuff up. The press release almost reads like an April Fool’s Day joke. Three of France’s premier surfers, Miky Picon, Jeremy Flores and Patrick Beven have combined their creative talent and friendship to create a line of underwear that fits their styles and technical needs. Their Moskova brand man panties that I discussed a while back has finally come to fruition and is now available at select Quiksilver stores and other boutiques.
It seems like just yesterday, I was studying in the South of France and right next to the Quiksilver Boardrider’s boutique in my town, there was a men’s underwear store. I remember being fascinated at the time, and wondering who the hell would go shopping at a men’s underwear store. Was there really that much of a demand for men’s designer underwear in a small French town to necessitate a whole store full of man panties? Now, we apparently have our answer. French men like comfy designer panties.
I, on the other hand, come from the macho American male school of thought that suggests that:
1) cheap underwear is good underwear.
2) men don’t go “underwear shopping”.
3) darker underwear equals less stains.
4) it’s too dirty to wear, turn it inside out and you’re good for another day or two.
While I’m busy recycling threadbare three-day-old boxer briefs (much to my lady’s dismay), be sure to check out the website of the Fronchie super surfers’ undies line, Moskova.

(In case you didn’t notice, I completely left out any Fronchie jokes. That’s only because the boys were kind enough to give the females a little undie love too.)
