Nagare was founded by 2 fellow surfers, Dino Sakelliou and Lee Jakobs, who spent many years learning surfwear design at Rip Curl, Reef and Rusty. We always wonder how people got started, Dino says “as a kid I drew and painted a lot and it never really left me. My first real ‘commission' was designing a tattoo logo for a friend back in South Africa in 1989. Ultimately this led to doing graphics for Gotcha/MCD South Africa. That's how it all started.” We checked out the boardshorts and you can tell these guys know design and know surfing: the boardshorts have no inseam to eliminate friction as they say, have a simplified drawcord, and a bunch of other cool design features.
