Havaianas has been making men's flip flops since the '60s. The flip flop design was inspired by japanese sandals (“zoris”), which had a soft-wood like bottom with fabric straps. Havaianas now makes all their sandals with a soft rubber bottom, which is more durable and super comfortable.
We love the flip flops and the company itself. Most importantly, Havaianas is environmentally conscious. Havaianas' production facilities are setup to use less water and electricity, they run environmental awareness classes for employees, and recycle all materials.
The one negative is we have heard some people complain that they tend to run a size big, we didn't find that to be the case, but just a heads up.
