After two days of waiting the 2009 O’Neill Sebastian Inlet Pro is now running live from the Florida space coast. The 4 star WQS event has gotten off to a slow start with relatively low scoring heats. Most wave scores have come in in the low to middle range, with a few notable early exceptions. Waves are mostly in the knee to waist high range, with an occasional larger set on offer, making for challenging conditions for those in the early rounds. Wave size is expected to pick up significantly over the next few days, with a new North swell arising out of the deep freeze that is currently plaguing the midwest and northeast. If conditions persist, organizers should be able to blaze through all of Round 1 and most of Round 2. Log on to Dailystoke tomorrow for a complete wrapup of the first day of action, and tune in to the event website for results, heatsheets and all the live action.
