Get ready for the second to last event in the Men’s World Qualifying Series 2008 season, and the last event in the Women’s World Qualifying Series 2008 season, as the 2008 Reef Hawaiian Pro kicks off this week. With an event window of November 12th to November 23rd, the Reef is set to start on Wednesday.
With huge points on offer for the victors, the Reef Hawaiian Pro is a 6 Star Prime men’s event and a 6 Star women’s event. The picture of the men’s WQS top 15 should become a lot clearer following this event, and the results of this event will square away the top 6 on the women’s WQS, with the exception of the few women who double qualify in the remaining two Women’s World Tour events beginning later this month. Expect big performances from those that have been dominating this season, those who are keen to pull out last minute surges in the rankings, and the local Hawaiian wildcards who seem to have a special knack for winning in their own backyard. It will be interesting to see if high-ranking Hawaiian World Tour hopefuls like Sunny Garcia, Dustin Barca and Kekoa Bacalso will be able to pull out some big points in this event.
Tune in for all the action at the event website:
