MELALI movie the Drifter Sessions Rob Machado Kelly SlaterThe Drifter Sessions is a follow-up to the highly successful The Drifter movie, and is basically unreleased footage from some of the surfing Rob Machado did with some of his friends while filming The Drifter.

The movie is super chill with original music by the Melali Sessions Band (Rob is in).  Rob, Slater, Robb, Reynolds, Dorian & Malloy are all shown catching nice peeling waves in Indo, with some pretty sick footage.

It's a cool DVD, it comes with the surf movie (35 mins) and also includes a documentary on the recording of the music by the Melali Sessions Band.

Cool flick, check it out, and we will also be giving away a free DVD to whoever posts the best comment to this story.  Post a comment, win a DVD, its that simple.

  1. John Hanusek says:

Looks like a good one. I really love the high contrast, green waters the Indian Ocean offers. Steel really knows how to capture it. Bali for one is a magical place and I think Rob achieved a parallel with the sounds coming from the Melali Sessions Band. Maybe there is a dub of the Kecak chant in there somewhere.

looks epic, can’t wait too have a look-see.
