Trion:Z - Product Review

Have you ever seen those bracelets that have a cool name that a lot of golfers wear? That is the Trion:Z bracelet. And the folks at Trion:Z were kind enough to send me over a couple of these doohickeys so I could put them to the test!

First off, let me explain the philosophy behind these wrist-bands. They have patented magnets in them that are designed to charge the body with negative ions using Earth’s natural magnetic fields. These negative ions are found abundantly in nature, while positive ions are found in electronics. Supposedly, exposing yourself to more negative ions will make you generally healthier. This is where things start to get iffy. They never explain how or what aspects of your health will be improved. They just say that it will give you negative ions. Which, I guess leaves the rest up to your colorful imagination (I was hoping for super-powers…).

But I took out the water sports version - the “Active” - out of it’s nicely engineered packaging and tried it on. It looked cool. It was barely noticeable, too. But honestly, I did not feel much of a difference in my health or overall well-being. Maybe if I lived in a big city where nature is almost non-existent would I have felt a difference, but I did not feel enlightened enough to notice. I still wore it for a couple of more weeks, and every day, someone asked me what it was, which was a pain in the neck because it took forever to explain what it was. You could say it enriched my life socially.

But, hey! Everyone is different, and maybe it works wonders for some people! They are pretty expensive bracelets (about 20 bucks), but if you don’t mind spending that amount, try one on and see if it yields any results. I’ll still wear mine, and I’ll let you know if I can fly.
