Dora Lives

For your viewing pleasure, an olllllllld video starring Miki Dora at Malibu. Very cool video. Transport yourself back to a time when you only had to share a wave with one other person at ‘Bu:

  2. That’s a killer vid. I love the near decapitation move he pulls a couple times.

  3. Yeah it is a great video, but Dora needs a good old Hawaiian “BEAT DOWN.” Notice when someone is in front of him he tries to take their head off with his board, but when he’s in the front, that makes it all right? I think not! Dora’s a real gutless punk, and his reputation has followed him.

  4. Dora had a much different way of riding then others of his era. He floats, he slideslips, and hardly ever hung any toes. Plus the boards were pieces of crap. The current “retro longboarders” might note his style verses how they ride today. For GH that was in a contest at Malibu and surfer he was messing with was Johnny Fain. I was there and in the contest. I am old!

  5. Styles change. Mick was all about trim and placement. I was Malibu too. He could never get out of a heat today.
