Andy Irons vs Snapper

Everybody is a kook at some point no matter how well you surf. Mother nature will always find a way to humble, and remind you that she’s the boss. This is a clip of Andy Irons talking about getting washed up over the rocks at Snapper. He didn’t even catch a wave, got smashed, and ended up on the beach with a couple extra holes in his body and board. I’ve never actually been washed up over the rocks, but I have slipped and busted my ass jumping off jetties before. I’ve even dropped my roommate’s car keys in the rocks at Newport watching people bodyboard the Wedge. Luckily for us, we found some little grom to dig them out for us. Not to mention the countless times I forget my leash and spend the whole day swimming. Like I said, we’re all kooks at some point, even if you’re Andy Irons.
