Chris Ward - back to the future
Chris Ward had a bumpy start to this year’s ASP World Tour season. After being arrested for allegedly participating in a fight where he was accused of knocking out two girls, there was a big question mark as to whether or not he would even return to the tour at all, or as to whether or not the tour would let him return. Fortunately for Chris, and for all of us, the fight incident was something of a big wake up call for Chris, pulling him out of his party boy lifestyle for which he has always been so well known. What it also awoke in Chris was a passion for competition, performance and innovation that we haven’t seen him display since he was the young teenage star of Lost’s early surf videos. Don’t get me wrong… Chris still absolutely ripped throughout his party days; but there was something different and more exciting about his surfing in his younger days, something that he has only recently once again let loose. Give this video a watch from Chris Ward’s early days with lost. This was one of his segments from What’s Really Goin On?, filmed for the most part when he was 15 years old. Remember when you were 15 years old and surfed like that? Yeah, me neither. Keep going Chris. We’re all enjoying the show!
