Everyone was buzzing on Monday about Jordy Smith’s impossible air/turn to fakie maneuver, which he pulled in front of an astonished audience, then gracefully recovered from. Seeing the video footage live was one thing, but I find myself replaying this turn over and over again. It’s kind of like an aerial version of the foot free layback turn that Tom Curren made famous in the early 90’s Rip Curl The Search video. May we all be so blessed as to pull something this ridiculous in our lifetimes.
