Wipeouts - some good, some bad, some ughhh…
For all of the great half hour surfing videos out there, there are generally dozens of hours, if not hundreds of hours of unusable video that never makes the final cut. While the “keepers” are generally all-time clips that allow we unworthy watchers the opportunity to live vicariously through our ridiculously talented pros, the throw aways and the clips that are left on the cutting room floor are often solid enough to make several more top notch videos. Sometimes the throw aways get shown in extras sections on DVDs. Other times they resurface later in the form of another compilation video by the same videographer. The above video is not a video of “keepers”, nor a video of throw aways. Rather, it is a video of some wipeouts, ranging from the world’s best surfers, to the world’s most mediocre, blowing it for the camera. Some of the results are good, some are bad, and some are just plain ugly. Enjoy!
