Simpson Goes Down in Round I at US Open (video)

About This Video:

Two-time winner and reigning champ Brett Simpson goes down in round 1 (maybe it's because it was almost flat mush).  Other top riders were eliminated as well including Joel Parkinson, Cory Lopez -- a surprise because he has been looking good as of late, Damien Hobgood, and my boy Rob Machado.

The good news is Hurricane Eugene should bring better -- but not great -- waves for the weekend.
